Why attend Catechism?
There are so many reasons why Catechism is important for children, youth, young adults, and adults—the community as a whole. Among those reasons: 1. developing, strengthening and maintaining a personal relationship with Christ through liturgy, prayer, scripture study, sacrifice and reflection. 2. Studying Scripture—the Word and meaning behind the messages Christ gave us to help us have direction. 3. Learning Tradition—the Tradition of our faith as fleshed out in the Catechism of the Catholic Church helps us to understand some of the depth of scripture and the culture of Christ and calls us to live the Word of Christ. 4. Develop Community—community here on earth through those we study, worship and live with and community in heaven through studying the Saints and their examples for life of love in Christ. These things work together to help develop a life-long commitment that gives foundation and direction for life in all seasons—easy and tough times, challenges and blessings, young and old, child bearing years, college, grandparenthood, sickness and health, joy and pain. As parents and grandparents, it is most important that we clearly model our faith by worshiping and studying and living. Encourage growth and strength in your young person’s life by providing the learning experiences of Catechism and Youth Ministry. Register today! Questions?
